That's how I'm feeling right now about my ethics paper. Admittedly, we only have to give our "initial understanding" of "what it means to be holy and how each of the themes of purity, justice, and reconciliation is related to holiness, and to each other." Still, it seems like a lot for a 5 page paper...

Good GOE practice.
For such an ambitious five-page paper, sometimes I would first use the 8-10 pages that the topic clearly requires, and then edit ruthlessly with pain and tears.
GOE?
I have the same problem too. In my patristics paper there was SO much I could have said about Justin Martyr and about the didache. In the end I narrowed it down to ONE point. But boy was it hard (and felt risky too)

I couldn't really see writing this one in fewer than about 20 pages if I let myself just write it, so I stuck vewy, vewy close to Leviticus and then explained in my intro and conclusion why Leviticus is honestly my real starting point for all of this, and why so far there's not much to say beyond that (without going a-wandering).
